Garnet is the January birthstone and the second anniversary stone. It received its name due to the gemstone's clusters of tiny red gems, resembling the vibrant red seeds of the pomegranate.
With a fiery deep red hue, the red garnet necklace is often given as a symbol of love, loyalty and friendship. This rose-cut gemstone has an array of facets on its surface to show off the stone's brilliance.
